Ashley Johnson, LMSW, helps adolescents, teens, adults, and seniors across Michigan build resilience, develop practical coping skills, and move toward improved mental health and well-being. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for people navigating life’s emotional challenges, offering compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals throughout MI. Ashley works with clients facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, and trauma, helping them better understand their experiences while creating strategies that support lasting growth and stability. Ashley is particularly passionate about supporting individuals who have recently been discharged from a psychiatric hospital and are transitioning back into daily life. She understands that this period can feel overwhelming and uncertain, and she focuses on helping clients rebuild routines, strengthen emotional regulation, and establish supportive coping strategies. Her goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals can process their experiences, regain confidence, and continue their path toward recovery and long-term wellness. Her clinical approach draws from evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and family therapy when appropriate. Ashley also has experience supporting individuals navigating ADHD, bipolar disorder, and eating disorders, while providing care for members of the LGBTQ+ community, individuals involved in adoption or foster care, and women across the lifespan. She offers additional therapeutic approaches to ensure treatment plans are tailored to each client’s unique goals and circumstances. Ashley began practicing in 2018 and earned her education from Western Michigan University. She is committed to ongoing learning and staying informed on best practices that support effective, compassionate mental health care. Outside of her clinical work, Ashley enjoys coloring, attending musical theater performances, watching reality TV and movies, and experiencing live concerts.
