Kyla Jansen, Therapist

Kyla Jansen, M.Ed, LPC

Kyla Jansen, LPC, helps individuals, teens, couples, and families in Missouri find steadiness, clarity, and emotional relief during challenging seasons of life. At LifeStance Health, she supports clients who are navigating stress, conflict, or significant life transitions, offering a grounded and compassionate therapeutic presence. Whether someone is seeking help for anxiety, rebuilding after trauma, or strengthening relationships, Kyla creates a space where healing and growth feel possible.

Kyla provides care for adolescents and adults, offering individual, couples, and family therapy. She frequently works with concerns such as anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD/trauma, helping clients understand how these experiences affect their thoughts, patterns, and relationships. Her work emphasizes practical skills, emotional insight, and an approach that adapts to each client’s goals.

She is especially passionate about supporting individuals and families facing childhood behavior issues, alcohol and drug use concerns, and complex couple’s issues. Kyla understands how these challenges can impact daily functioning, family dynamics, and long-term well-being. She works collaboratively with clients to reduce conflict, improve communication, and strengthen coping strategies. Her clinical style reflects both direct guidance and deep empathy, empowering clients to build resilience and restore balance.

Kyla uses evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), couples and marital counseling, and family therapy. She also incorporates Parenting Skills when helpful and offers additional interventions to meet the diverse needs of the individuals and families she serves. She welcomes clients from a variety of backgrounds, including those connected to adoption or foster care and individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Outside her practice, Kyla finds joy with the longtime friends she calls her “backyard crew,” spending weekends celebrating milestones, enjoying the outdoors, and traveling together. She loves hiking, camping, and floating during Missouri’s warmer months. At home, she enjoys daily walks with her black lab, Tina, diving into the Outlander series, and experimenting with new soup recipes.
