Angie Dockins, M.Ed, LPC,
About Angie Dockins (She/Her)
Angie Dockins believes meaningful therapy begins with feeling understood and supported. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for adults and older adults throughout Missouri, helping clients navigate life’s challenges with compassion, insight, and practical tools for lasting change. Her approach is collaborative and tailored to each person’s unique experiences, empowering clients to build resilience and move toward emotional wellness.
Angie has experience supporting individuals facing anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also helping clients navigate significant life transitions. Whether someone is adjusting to changes in midlife, coping with later-life transitions, or working through the effects of difficult experiences, she creates a safe, nonjudgmental environment where healing and personal growth can occur. She works with a diverse range of adults, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, military service members, and veterans, and offers support for many additional mental health concerns.
Her therapeutic style integrates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mindfulness techniques. Angie also incorporates additional therapeutic interventions when appropriate, ensuring treatment is personalized to each client’s goals, strengths, and needs. She is committed to helping clients develop practical coping strategies, strengthen self-awareness, and create meaningful, sustainable change.
Angie earned her education through the University of Missouri–St. Louis, where she developed a strong foundation in counseling theory and clinical practice. She remains dedicated to ongoing learning and professional growth in order to provide high-quality mental health care.
Outside of her clinical work, Angie enjoys hiking, singing in her band, spending time with her family and their two dogs, traveling, camping, CrossFit and powerlifting, and exploring new opportunities to learn and grow. These experiences reinforce her appreciation for balance, connection, and the importance of caring for both mental and physical well-being.
