Esther Nam is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina, who relocated to NC from New Jersey in 2021. She started her counseling career in 2010 in NJ and has gained her clinical counseling experiences working in a hospital setting, various partial care, and intensive outpatient programs serving the adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Esther understands that each client is unique, and she has an intuitive ability to adapt her approaches/interventions to meet her client’s individual needs. Esther truly believes that a customized approach is a valuable necessity in supporting the needs of her client’s mental health and overall well-being.

Esther considers herself as a 1.5 generation Korean-American who was born in South Korea, and immigrated to the United States as a toddler. She has resided in the United States for majority of her life, so she understands the complex cultural/family dynamics of being Asian-American. Esther is fluent in English, but does not consider herself fluent in her native Korean language.

On her free time, Esther enjoys traveling, trying out new eateries/restaurants, cooking, gardening, hiking, playing golf and spending time with her husband and fur-baby, Foxy along with family and friends.
