About Heather Herrig (She/Her)
Heather is a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor as well as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, who has been practicing since 2014. They graduated from Lenoir Rhyne University in Hickory, NC with a degree in Mental Health Counseling. Heather’s undergraduate degree is from The Ohio State University in Columbus Ohio. With a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences. Heather believes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person Centered Therapy approaches. Heather feels it is best to meet someone where they are at emotionally in life and help them on their journey to mental wellness. CBT helps people unlearn negative thoughts and behaviors and learn to adopt healthier thinking patterns and habits. She also uses Substance Abuse Treatment skills if necessary. In her spare time, Heather enjoys lazy days with her family and fur babies, College Football, Parkway Driving, and Geocaching.
