About James Polzner (He/Him)

James R. Polzner is an LISW in the State of Ohio. He has 38 years of experience providing mental health care throughout Northeast Ohio. He began his career in the Psychiatric Emergency Room at St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland. He then became the Emergency Services Program Director for the Mental Health system in Medina County, where he worked for 15 years. He served as Director of Social Work at Windsor Hospital in Chagrin Falls. He later provided out-patient therapy at Psychological Behavioral Consultants in North Olmsted and is currently an out-patient therapist at Lifestance Health in Beachwood. He earned his undergraduate degree from Cleveland State University and graduated from Case Western Reserve University’s School of Applied Social Sciences in 1984. Jim has experience working with psychiatric emergencies and suicidal clients. He has worked with anxiety and depressive disorders. He also enjoys working with the Severely Mentally Disabled population and Personality Disorders.
