Maritza Malloy, M.Ed, LPCC-S,
About Maritza Malloy (She/Her)
Maritza I. Malloy, LPCC, provides compassionate and individualized mental health care to clients across Ohio. With a warm, non-judgmental approach, she helps individuals navigate life’s challenges, transitions, and stressors, guiding them toward their most authentic selves. Maritza collaborates closely with clients to identify areas for growth, explore actionable solutions, and challenge maladaptive thought patterns that may be barriers to progress. Her goal is to empower each person to achieve meaningful change and reach their fullest potential. Maritza specializes in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use challenges. She is passionate about supporting individuals through major life transitions, grief, and reproductive challenges such as postpartum depression. Her work also focuses on gender identity, LGBTQ+ issues, and hoarding, offering safe, inclusive care for those with complex needs. Whether working with clients experiencing midlife or later-life transitions, or those managing ADHD, bipolar disorder, or obsessive-compulsive disorder, Maritza strives to foster growth, healing, and resilience. Using evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing, Maritza tailors her therapeutic approach to meet each client’s unique needs. She provides both individual and group therapy and offers services for diverse populations, including first responders, military members, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those with autism spectrum disorders or experience in foster care. Her clinical experience spans a variety of settings, including telehealth, hospitals, and community mental health centers. Outside of her practice, Maritza enjoys family time, music, cooking, and staying active through hiking and traveling. Attending concerts and exploring new places brings her joy, and she treasures moments with her husband and two dogs.
