About Jordan Buchanan (She/Her)

Jordan Buchanan helps adults and older adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion, curiosity, and evidence-based care. As a therapist at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for patients across Ohio, supporting those experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns while helping them build resilience and move toward meaningful, lasting change. She also has experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and offers support for LGBTQ+ individuals, people with developmental disabilities, and veterans, among other populations.

Jordan believes that every person’s story deserves to be heard and understood. Her approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to each individual’s goals. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), she helps clients develop practical skills to manage emotional distress, improve relationships, and create healthier patterns in daily life. In addition to these areas of expertise, she offers support for a variety of other mental health concerns and life transitions.

Jordan is especially passionate about working with individuals who have recently been discharged from a psychiatric hospital and those participating in court-ordered treatment. She understands that these experiences can feel overwhelming and isolating, and she is committed to creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can regain stability, build confidence, and work toward long-term recovery. Her goal is to help patients feel empowered as they move forward and reconnect with what matters most to them.

She earned her education from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and Ohio University, where she developed the clinical foundation that supports her thoughtful and patient-centered approach to care.

Outside of her professional work, Jordan enjoys thrifting, camping, traveling, and learning about the world around her. Naturally curious, she loves exploring the “why” behind people, experiences, and life’s challenges. This curiosity, combined with her belief that everyone deserves joy and connection, inspires her work with patients every day.
