Jordan Dotson, MA, LPCC,
About Jordan Dotson (He/Him)
Jordan Dotson helps adults build practical skills, restore confidence, and move toward meaningful change when facing mental health or substance use challenges. At LifeStance Health, he provides therapy for adults throughout Ohio, supporting individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, and alcohol or drug use concerns. His approach is collaborative and goal-oriented, helping clients better understand their experiences while developing effective strategies for long-term growth and recovery.
Jordan has a particular interest in working with individuals experiencing substance use disorders, anxiety-related concerns, and trauma. He recognizes that these challenges often impact relationships, self-esteem, and daily functioning, and he strives to create a supportive environment where clients feel understood without judgment. Whether someone is seeking relief from persistent symptoms or working toward lasting lifestyle changes, Jordan tailors treatment to meet each person’s unique needs and goals.
His therapeutic style draws from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). He also offers additional interventions to support a wide range of mental health needs. Jordan values empowering clients with practical tools they can apply outside of sessions, helping them build resilience and improve their overall well-being.
Jordan earned his education from The Ohio State University and the University of Cincinnati. He believes that successful therapy combines clinical expertise with genuine human connection, creating a space where clients can explore challenges, strengthen coping skills, and make progress at their own pace.
Outside of his clinical work, Jordan enjoys gaming, attending EDM shows, reading, exercising, writing, and exploring anime. These interests help him stay creative, balanced, and connected to the diverse experiences and perspectives that clients bring into therapy.
