About Samar Khan (She/Her)

Samar Khan is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Ohio who has been practicing since 2023. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and her Masters in Social Work, both from The Ohio State University.

Samar is passionate about working with individuals and families to support and empower them to achieve their goals in therapy. Samar uses compassion, kindness, and education in her practice to help individuals and families develop lifelong skills and the confidence to build the life that they want.

Samar specializes in treating children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced trauma. She uses several different modalities, including EMDR. She loves working with individuals of all ages as she believes everyone deserves to have support on their journey to healing.

Also, being a woman of color of South-Asian ancestry, and a daughter of immigrants to the United States, Samar tries to incorporate cultural competence, humility and a non-judgmental approach when providing care.

When she’s not at work, Samar loves spending time with her family, exploring locally owned coffee shops, and playing with her pets (a cat and two parakeets).
