Quiana Atwood, Therapist

Quiana Atwood

Quiana Atwood, LISW, helps adults across Ohio navigate complex emotional challenges, strengthen relationships, and build a greater sense of stability and self-understanding through compassionate, evidence-based care at LifeStance Health. She provides individual and couples therapy for concerns such as anxiety, depression, and trauma, creating a supportive and collaborative environment where patients can explore their experiences and develop meaningful, lasting change.

She is especially dedicated to working with individuals involved in court-ordered treatment, parental custody matters, or current legal situations, as well as those recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. Quiana understands the importance of structure, accountability, and consistent support during these critical transitions. She works closely with patients to help them regain stability, meet legal or clinical expectations, and build healthier patterns that support long-term well-being.

Quiana has a strong clinical focus on PTSD and serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI), and she is passionate about helping individuals heal from trauma and manage complex mental health conditions. She integrates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness to help patients develop insight, regulate emotions, and improve coping skills. She has experience supporting individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, those connected to adoption or foster care, and military or veteran populations, while also offering care for a wide range of additional mental health concerns.

With over two decades of experience in the mental health field, Quiana is known for her warm, engaging approach and her ability to connect with patients through authenticity and understanding. She creates a space where individuals feel safe, respected, and empowered to work toward healing and personal growth.

Outside of her clinical work, Quiana enjoys music, spending time with animals, watching movies, and being with her family, often using humor and shared interests to build meaningful connections.
