Lori Lycans, LISW, helps adults across Ohio build stability, strengthen coping skills, and move toward meaningful change through compassionate, evidence-based individual therapy at LifeStance Health. She partners with adults and seniors throughout Ohio who are navigating anxiety, depression, and substance use challenges, offering practical tools and steady support tailored to each stage of adulthood. Her approach is collaborative, respectful, and grounded in helping patients feel understood while developing strategies that create lasting progress.

Lori specializes in Alcohol and Drug Use Issues, Anxiety, and Depression, and she also offers support for bipolar disorder, eating disorders, grief, and life transitions. She works with adults ages 27 and older, including those in midlife and later life transitions. In addition to serving men and women, Lori has experience supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-based techniques, she helps patients identify patterns, regulate emotions, and build healthier responses to stress.

Her clinical interests include Women’s Issues and Substance Use Disorder, Women’s Issues more broadly, and Pre- and Post-Bariatric Surgery therapy. Lori is particularly committed to helping women navigate complex life changes, recovery journeys, and body-related transitions with dignity and empowerment. She integrates structured therapeutic interventions with compassionate listening to address both emotional and behavioral health needs.

Lori earned her education from The Ohio State University and began practicing in 2023. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys gardening, knitting, attending rock concerts and festivals with her husband, and baking while watching cooking shows at home with her cats, Poppy and Tulip.
