Katie Gorey, LCSW, MSW,
About Katie Gorey (She/Her)
Katie Gorey helps adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion, authenticity, and evidence-based mental health care. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at LifeStance Health, she serves patients throughout Pennsylvania, providing therapy that supports healing, personal growth, and lasting change. She works collaboratively with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns, while also helping individuals address a variety of additional emotional and behavioral health needs. Ms. Gorey believes that every person deserves a safe, supportive space where they can feel heard, understood, and empowered. She provides individual therapy, group therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and case management services tailored to each client’s unique goals. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in respect, empathy, and partnership, helping clients build the skills and confidence needed to overcome obstacles and improve their overall well-being. Drawing on evidence-based practices, Ms. Gorey incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into treatment. She also offers additional therapeutic interventions to meet the diverse needs of her clients. Whether someone is struggling with relationship difficulties, substance use concerns, grief, or major life transitions, she strives to provide personalized care that promotes resilience and meaningful progress. Ms. Gorey has particular experience working with individuals affected by anxiety, depression, and trauma, while also supporting those facing alcohol and drug use issues, couples concerns, and other mental health challenges. She understands that healing is not a one-size-fits-all process and works to create treatment plans that reflect each person’s strengths, values, and circumstances. Outside of her clinical work, Ms. Gorey enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, caring for her dogs, and exploring new places. She values creating meaningful memories with loved ones and finding joy in life’s simple moments. Her passion for mental health extends beyond her profession, reflected in her commitment to fostering an environment where people feel accepted, supported, empowered, and free from judgment. Ms. Gorey earned her education from Kutztown University and has dedicated her career to helping individuals and families improve their emotional health and quality of life.
