About Tim Stow (He/Him)
If you are seeking support for healing, recovery, and emotional wellness, Tim Stow at LifeStance Health provides compassionate, evidence-based therapy for adults and older adults throughout Pennsylvania. He works alongside clients to help them navigate life’s challenges, develop effective coping strategies, and build greater resilience. Tim provides individual and group therapy for concerns such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also supporting individuals facing a variety of additional mental health needs. A particular area of passion for Tim is working with individuals who have recently been discharged from a psychiatric hospital. He recognizes that returning to daily life after an inpatient stay can bring both hope and uncertainty, and he is committed to helping clients maintain stability during this transition. Through collaborative treatment planning and ongoing therapeutic support, he helps clients strengthen coping skills, reduce the risk of setbacks, and establish a path forward that aligns with their recovery goals. Tim’s therapeutic approach is practical, supportive, and tailored to the unique needs of each client. He utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure Therapy to help clients better understand patterns of thinking, manage difficult emotions, and overcome barriers that interfere with daily functioning. In addition to treating anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns, he has experience helping individuals with grief, bipolar disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder, among other mental health conditions. He has experience working with military veterans and first responders, understanding the unique stressors and experiences these populations may encounter. Tim strives to create a respectful and welcoming therapeutic environment where clients feel safe exploring challenges, identifying strengths, and making meaningful changes in their lives. Tim earned his education from Liberty University and Capella University. His clinical philosophy emphasizes authenticity, collaboration, and evidence-based care, helping clients feel empowered throughout their mental health journey. Outside of the therapy office, Tim enjoys participating in weekly trivia nights, roller skating, and engaging in a variety of mindfulness practices. These interests reflect his belief in the importance of balance, curiosity, and ongoing personal growth.
