Janet Roenne, MA, NCC, LPC
Over the years I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of mental health environments. I have been fortunate to have had the experience of working with mental health, dual diagnosis, substance abuse and forensic clients. I work with children, adolescents, and adult patient populations. Some clinical issues which I treat include Substance Abuse, Grief, ADHD, Domestic Abuse, Trauma, Depression, Bi-Polar Disorder, Anxiety and Adjustment Disorders. I am proud of the fact that I can partner with my clients to identify, plan, and execute solutions that can help them to effectively manage and resolve their mental health symptoms. It is well known that new research in the area of mental health is constantly emerging. That is why I am committed to using a variety of different techniques in my practice and continue to search for new and better treatment methods. Through my continuing education efforts, I believe I can more effectively service my client base.
Initially I started my career working in an Inpatient Environment with dual diagnosis clients. I have held a variety of mental health and substance abuse Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Positions. These positions allowed me to work with clients in both Individual and Group Therapy settings. At one point in my career I held a Clinical Supervisor position where I was able to work with a team of therapists administering treatment to court-ordered Drug and Alcohol offenders who participated in the Chester County Drug Court and Recovery Court Program. I also have held a position as a Case Manger where I would recommend and oversee the administration of services to inmates in County Prison, and when necessary, coordinated care between Adult Probation and Public Defenders. I have also provided therapy services to adjudicated youth doing both Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Groups, saw young children in an Outpatient setting, and was contracted as a Counselor to work with Middle and High School Students in the West Chester School District.
I earned my Master s Degree in Clinical and Community Counseling from Eastern University. I also hold a Master s Degree in Elementary Education from West Chester University and a Bachelor s Degree from Franklin amp Marshall College. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Pennsylvania and a National Certified Counselor. I am a member of the International Honorary Society in Psychology and the Honorary Society in Education. I received the President s Volunteer Service Award for my work with Life Beyond Abuse, a local outreach organization that provided safe monitored visitation environments for children from broken families.
