Carissa is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 12 years of experience, specializing in treating depression, anxiety, substance abuse, PTSD, personality disorders, and severe mental illness. She treats patients above the age of 14 by using a holistic, trauma-informed approach to support a person’s strengths, reduce distress associated with maladaptive coping mechanisms, and develop ways to better manage stress. Carissa aims to provide individuals with the tools and skills to live a life in line with their goals related to personal growth. She is also trained in techniques such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy.

After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Lebanon Valley College, she went on to receive her Master of Arts at West Chester University of Pennsylvania in Clinical Psychology. She also completed studies at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and worked closely with The Beck Institute. In her free time, Carissa enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and gardening. She also enjoys going to restaurants in the area to try new cuisines.
