Erica Waterford, LPC,
About Erica Waterford (She/Her)
Erica Waterford helps teens, adults, and older adults throughout Pennsylvania navigate emotional challenges, relationship concerns, and major life transitions with compassion, insight, and practical support. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at LifeStance Health, she creates a welcoming and collaborative therapeutic environment where patients can explore their experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward meaningful personal growth. Her primary areas of focus include anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also providing support for a wide range of additional mental health concerns. Erica is passionate about helping individuals manage the impact of life transitions and personal change. Whether a patient is navigating midlife challenges, later-life adjustments, relationship difficulties, identity exploration, or the emotional effects of loss, she helps them build resilience while developing a clearer path forward. She understands that change can be both challenging and transformative, and she works alongside patients to foster confidence, self-understanding, and emotional well-being. Believing that treatment should be tailored to each individual, Erica draws from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and couples/marital counseling techniques. She provides individual, couples, and family therapy services and has experience supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community as well as individuals with autism spectrum disorders. In addition to her primary specialties, she offers support for a variety of emotional, behavioral, and relationship concerns. Erica’s approach emphasizes authenticity, trust, and practical skill-building. She encourages patients to identify their strengths, gain insight into unhelpful patterns, and create lasting changes that support healthier relationships and improved quality of life. She earned her education at Philadelphia University, Temple University, and Capella University, building a strong foundation in counseling theory and clinical practice. Outside of her professional work, Erica enjoys tiny home living, traveling, riding motorcycles, creating art, DIY projects, reading self-help materials, and spending time with her cats. Her varied interests reflect her appreciation for creativity, adventure, lifelong learning, and personal growth.
