Gabby Askren, LMSW,
About Gabby Askren (She/Her)
Gabby Askren helps children, adolescents, teens, and adults throughout Tennessee develop practical tools to manage emotional challenges, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives. As a therapist at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy in a supportive and engaging environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. Gabby works with individuals facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, and trauma, helping them build confidence and healthier coping strategies while working toward their personal goals. Gabby has experience supporting a diverse range of individuals, including those within the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, first responders, individuals with autism spectrum disorders, and people with developmental disabilities. She understands that every person’s experiences are unique and tailors treatment to meet each client’s specific needs. In addition to her primary areas of focus, she works with clients facing ADHD, school avoidance, eating disorders, and other emotional and behavioral concerns. Using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-based techniques, Gabby helps clients better understand the connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Her therapeutic style is collaborative and strengths-based, encouraging clients to discover their capabilities while developing practical skills for everyday life. She believes meaningful progress occurs when clients feel safe, supported, and actively involved in their treatment. Gabby earned degrees from Florida Atlantic University and Liberty University, where she developed a strong clinical foundation for working with individuals across a variety of ages and backgrounds. Her commitment to ongoing growth and learning allows her to provide thoughtful, individualized care rooted in current therapeutic best practices. Outside of her clinical work, Gabby enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active. She can often be found hiking, backpacking, fishing, whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing, or enjoying a day boogie boarding. She also enjoys knitting, exploring new foods, reading, and listening to music, interests that reflect her appreciation for creativity, adventure, and lifelong learning. Individuals and families across Tennessee seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, PTSD and trauma, ADHD, school-related challenges, or other mental health concerns can benefit from Gabby’s compassionate and personalized approach to care. Through LifeStance Health, she is dedicated to helping clients develop the skills and confidence needed to navigate life’s challenges and move toward greater emotional well-being.
