William Montgomery helps individuals and families across Tennessee build stability, strengthen relationships, and improve emotional well-being through compassionate, evidence-based therapy at LifeStance Health. He works with children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults, offering individual, couples, and family therapy tailored to each stage of life. William specializes in anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also supporting a wide range of additional mental health concerns with thoughtful, personalized care for clients throughout Tennessee. He is especially passionate about supporting individuals who have been recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. William understands the challenges that can arise during this critical transition and focuses on helping clients regain stability, maintain treatment progress, and reduce the risk of relapse. Through consistent support and collaborative care, he helps clients and their families establish routines, strengthen coping skills, and build a solid foundation for long-term recovery. William’s therapeutic approach is integrative and client-centered, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based strategies. He works with diverse populations, including individuals with autism spectrum disorders, military members and veterans, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. He also offers additional therapeutic services to meet a broad range of clinical needs, ensuring care is responsive and adaptable. He treats children and adolescents, including teens, as well as adults and seniors, adjusting his approach to support developmental growth and life transitions. His goal is to foster self-awareness, resilience, and practical skills that help clients navigate complex emotional and relational challenges. Outside of his clinical work, William enjoys reading, writing, weightlifting, and archery, which support his focus on discipline, creativity, and balance—values he brings into his therapeutic work. William Montgomery is dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality mental health services for individuals and families throughout Tennessee.
