Cody Barnhill helps adults across Tennessee navigate life’s challenges with compassion, honesty, and practical support. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or challenges in your relationships, Cody offers a grounded and collaborative space to explore what’s holding you back and to develop tools for lasting change. He provides individual, couples, and family therapy for adults seeking to improve their mental health, strengthen their relationships, and build resilience through evidence-based care. Cody specializes in helping clients address complex issues such as ADHD, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress, as well as challenges related to substance use, self-esteem, and major life transitions. His approach is both empathetic and goal-oriented, helping clients uncover patterns that no longer serve them and replace them with strategies that foster emotional balance and personal growth. Through methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based techniques, he empowers individuals to build awareness, acceptance, and healthier ways of responding to life’s difficulties. Cody is particularly passionate about working with men’s issues, midlife transitions, and identity development. He provides a supportive and understanding space for men who may feel isolated, misunderstood, or burdened by expectations to “have it all together.” In addition, he offers specialized support for LGBTQ+ individuals, members of the military and veteran communities, and those on the autism spectrum. Cody also assists clients with court-ordered treatment and disability paperwork, recognizing that these processes can be overwhelming and often tied to deep emotional challenges. Outside of his clinical work, Cody enjoys art, reading, archery, video games, and collecting trivia—creative outlets that reflect his curiosity and appreciation for personal expression. Cody Barnhill practices at LifeStance Health and serves patients throughout Tennessee.
