Kacey Petrash helps adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults work through emotional, relational, and behavioral challenges with a compassionate and collaborative approach to therapy. Through LifeStance Health, she serves patients throughout Texas, providing individual and couples therapy tailored to each person’s unique experiences and goals. Kacey helps clients build practical coping skills, strengthen relationships, and develop greater confidence as they navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns. Kacey is especially passionate about supporting individuals who have recently been discharged from a psychiatric hospital and are transitioning back into their daily lives. She understands that this period can feel overwhelming and uncertain, and she works closely with clients to promote stability, reinforce coping strategies, and reduce the risk of future crises. Her goal is to help individuals regain a sense of confidence, safety, and connection as they continue their recovery journey. In addition to supporting individuals during important transitions, Kacey has experience helping clients manage anxiety, PTSD and trauma-related concerns, and relationship challenges. She works with diverse populations, including members of the LGBTQ+ community and individuals involved in adoption or foster care experiences. Using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and couples counseling, she helps clients identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck while developing healthier ways to move forward. She also offers additional therapeutic approaches based on each client’s individual needs. Since beginning her clinical practice in 2021, Kacey has been committed to creating a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, she believes meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, and collaboration. She earned her education from Houston Baptist University and Sam Houston State University. Outside of her clinical work, Kacey enjoys spending time with her family and embracing her role as a mother. She also enjoys crocheting and fishing, activities that allow her to slow down, recharge, and appreciate life’s simple moments.
