Dr. Jones considers her career in counseling to be the privilege of a lifetime. Her more than twenty-five years of practice have been a source of satisfaction and pride as she has been allowed to foster deep, trusting alliances with her clients and guide them toward a more meaningful life experience. Her goal is to partner with you in identifying and working together towards the resolution of your worries, concerns and emotional challenges. She has developed an eclectic practice, working with children, teens, adults, couples and families. Each group responds to a particular approach. With children, it is important to engage with humor and playfulness and requires occasional assistance from Sadie, the GoldenDoodle. Teens seek acceptance and a voice. Individual adults need validation of their struggles and help in finding the path forward. With couples and families, roles and relationships are treated with respect but never with judgment as to who is right and who is wrong. Dr. Jones has been trained in a cognitive-behavioral (CBT) approach to therapy. The basic concept is that thoughts, feelings and actions are all connected and can trap you in an unhealthy cycle. By challenging negative thoughts and behaviors, clients improve their emotional well being and develop coping strategies that target problems in a more positive way. Dr. Jones is available via teletherapy and face to face sessions.

Dr Jones has been working with my daughter for several years after being highly recommended by one of my best friends. We have been through divorce, co-parenting issues, teen drama, college selection, depression, and more. As a single mother of two daughters, I am truly thankful for Dr Jones. Her approach is calm, realistic, and proactive. My oldest daughter has greatly benefited from her time with Jonesy (as I call her). She was able to go away to college 2 years ago with coping skills to deal with fear, loneliness, and her insecurities. I highly recommend Rebecca Jones for both family counseling and for one-on-one therapy for teens.

I don’t have enough space here to write all the good things I have to say about Dr. Jones. My son died at age 20. I was fortunate enough to set up my first appointment with Dr. Jones just a few weeks later. Her kindness and caring attitude helped me navigate the most difficult time in my life. I always looked forward to each session and she was key in giving me tips in believing in myself and providing coping skills. I don’t think I would have survived without this woman who was so much more than a doctor. She is an amazing lady.

Dr. Jones is wonderful. She is patient and affirming, responsive and insightful, as well as focused and goal oriented. You'll leave her office with an action plan or some type of growth to sustain you until your next meeting. She truly cares about the health and well being of my family as a whole, so I cannot recommend her enough to anyone seeking a counselor.
