About Sandra Alaniz (She/Her)
Sandra Y. Alaniz is a licensed professional counselor in Texas who has been practicing since 2010. She earned a Master’s Degree in Community Mental Health from Webster University. Her Bachelor’s Degree is in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Sandra offers a trusting, nurturing, and supportive environment to enable you to gently to explore and begin your healing journey.
She has worked with diverse populations (individual and group) in various settings, such as Community and Rural Community Mental Health Clinics, Domestic Violence Women’s Shelter, Drug Treatment Facilities, and the Criminal Justice System. Sandra uses an Integrative, holistic therapeutic approach to tailor the needs of her individual clients by combining ideas and techniques from various therapeutic modalities, to include mental, physical, and emotional well-being. In her spare time, Sandra enjoys spending time outdoors, especially doing activities like hiking, walking and cycling.
