About Leatha Nowlan (She/Her)

Leatha received her Master of Arts in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University (MNU) in Olathe, Kansas, with an emphasis in marriage, couple, and family counseling and completed her certification as a sexual addictions treatment provider. Leatha enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families. Leatha has worked with individuals experiencing a wide range of symptoms from minor stressors to major life challenges, as well as couples at varying degrees of relational distress, and traditional and blended families. She is particularly passionate about helping her clients heal from past or present experiences of victimization, trauma, or loss. Leatha approaches therapy from an attachment-oriented, experiential, and emotion-focused perspective, partnering with clients to help them reconnect with themselves and others. She believes that we were not created to navigate life alone and that disconnection, isolation, and loneliness (even in the context of relationships) can profoundly affect our sense of self and the ways we relate to others. Leatha strives to create a safe and nurturing therapeutic environment to help clients find healing and connection in and out of the therapy room.
