David began his career by providing group cognitive behavioral therapy within the juvenile justice system. He left state employment in 2003 to pursue his Master’s in counseling at Tarleton State University graduating in 2005. He was an instructor at Fort Hood assisting soldiers and their families returning from Iraq at in 2004. David also worked with transitioning seniors in nursing homes and assisted living settings and led a Mobile Crisis Outreach Team out of Corpus Christi.
He spent 10 years at a non-profit as a therapist, clinical director, and executive director, working with individuals, couples, families, military, police officers, and firefighters dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, marital issues, grief, ADHD management, and emotional regulation. He worked with victims of violent crimes and EAPs.
David has been married for over 27 years, and has no children, but makes up for it with multiple fur and feathered pets. In his spare time, David enjoys reading and spending time with his wife exploring new things to do in Temple and the surrounding area.
