Sherita is passionate about working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families through developing a trusting, non-judgmental, and encouraging therapeutic environment. Her focus is to help others navigate daily life challenges, restore and rebuild relationships, developing practical communication skills and self-acceptance. She works with various people with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem/self-worth, communication issues, conflict resolution, anger management issues, and other challenges. Sherita takes an integrative approach to counseling in her use of cognitive behavioral, hope-focused, solution-focused, and person-centered techniques and interventions based on the client’s needs. Her efforts help clients identify root issues, self-regulate their emotions, develop effective communication, and learn positive coping skills. She also provides spiritual integration in counseling for clients who request support. Sherita works collaboratively with clients to achieve their goals in counseling with hope as an anchor. Sherita is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and holds an M.A. in Professional Counseling and a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Christian Counseling.
