About Amanda Sanneh (She/Her)

Amanda Sanneh helps adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion, insight, and practical strategies for meaningful change. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy to adults throughout Washington, supporting those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns. Amanda creates a welcoming and collaborative space where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward their personal goals and improved emotional well-being. Amanda is especially passionate about supporting individuals exploring gender identity and helping clients build confidence in living authentically. She understands that identity development can be a deeply personal journey and works alongside clients with sensitivity, respect, and affirmation. Her approach emphasizes self-understanding, resilience, and creating a path forward that aligns with each person’s values and experiences. In addition to her work with gender identity concerns, Amanda helps adults manage anxiety, depression, grief, sleep difficulties, and the effects of PTSD and trauma. She draws from evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and CBT for Insomnia. When appropriate, she also provides gender-affirmative medical readiness evaluations. Amanda tailors treatment to each client’s unique needs, recognizing that lasting progress often comes from understanding the whole person rather than focusing solely on symptoms. She offers additional support for a variety of mental health concerns beyond her primary areas of focus. Before entering clinical practice, Amanda earned degrees from Williams College and Boston University, experiences that helped shape her commitment to thoughtful, culturally responsive care and lifelong learning. Outside of her professional work, Amanda enjoys traveling, cooking and exploring different cuisines, reading and creative writing, learning about history and culture, volunteering in her community, and spending time with family and friends. These interests deepen her appreciation for the diverse experiences and perspectives clients bring to therapy.
