Avril Lehmann, LMHC,
About Avril Lehmann (She/Her)
Avril Lehmann helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and seniors throughout Washington build healthier coping skills, strengthen relationships, and move through life’s challenges with greater confidence. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy and couples therapy for those experiencing anxiety, depression, and ADHD, while also supporting a variety of other emotional, behavioral, and life transition concerns. Avril approaches treatment with warmth, respect, and a commitment to helping each client identify practical solutions that align with their goals and values. A significant part of Avril’s work focuses on helping children, teens, and families navigate behavioral and emotional difficulties that can affect success at home, school, and in relationships. She is passionate about supporting clients facing childhood behavior issues and school avoidance, helping young people develop resilience, emotional regulation skills, and confidence as they work through challenges. Avril partners closely with families to create supportive environments that encourage growth and long-term well-being. Avril also enjoys helping couples strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and develop healthier patterns of connection. Whether clients are navigating relationship stress, major life changes, or ongoing conflict, she provides a supportive space where both partners can feel heard and work toward meaningful progress. In addition to her primary areas of focus, Avril offers support for concerns including grief, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, postpartum depression and anxiety, later-life transitions, and other mental health needs. Her therapeutic approach is tailored to the unique needs of each individual or couple. Avril incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure Therapy to help clients better understand thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building effective strategies for lasting change. She also offers additional evidence-based therapeutic interventions when appropriate. Avril believes that healing begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, collaboration, and compassion. She strives to create a welcoming environment where clients feel empowered to explore challenges, recognize strengths, and make meaningful changes in their lives. Outside of her clinical practice, Avril enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs. She values the connection, balance, and perspective that these relationships bring to her life.
