It is not an exaggeration to say that Mimi has helped to change my life drastically in a positive way. I started the CPT program thinking that I was just going to be on an assembly line beauracratic process of going through the motions with my most intimate traumas. However, glad am I to report that my cynical nature proved to be wrong. She genuinely cares about people. She listened to everything I had to say to the best of her ability and gave me genuine feedback. I wrote a lot and talked a lot and I was afraid that the person on the other end was going to get bored or just nod along and pretend to care; or that she would just be agreeable, but offer no real solutions. However, for example when I was sharing my story, I would often make statements confusing my thoughts about the event and my feelings about the event. She could have just ignored my confusion and just nodded along, but she cared to listen intently and help me to make the distinctions and give a name to suppressed emotions. More importantly than her competency is her genuine kind hearted presence. She greets you with a warm smile and open heart every session. She also works with people from all walks of life and is fluent in English and Japanese. Nobody is going to do the trauma work for, but if you are willing to do genuinely do the work then you will not be dissapointed with Mimi. Easiest five star rating I've ever given.

I’ve seen Mimi a second time now, and without a doubt she has been a great vessel in my journey towards achieving a healthy mental health. Mimi always sees me on time, and our sessions are always very mindful and eye-opening. We share an Asian background, so it is very easy for me to connect with her without fear or judgment. She is so professional, and has provided me with very useful resources, but aside from all of this, you can tell she deeply cares about her clients’ wellbeing - she is that compassionate.
