Jennifer Robers Miller, M.S. LPC is a licensed professional counselor specializing in infant and toddler mental health, trauma-informed care, and foster/adoption/attachment issues in families. She additionally treats children who have anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, DMDD, insomnia, eating issues, school/daycare issues, cognitive impairments, developmental delays, adjustment disorders, family change and grief and loss issues.

Jennifer obtained her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Loyola College in Maryland in 2001. She recently completed the Training for Adoption Competency training through the Center for Adoption Support and Education, as well as the advanced certificate in the program. She was part of a pioneering Head Start Mental Health project that targeted early intervention for children suffering the effects of exposure to trauma, poverty, and other mental health and behavioral issues in inner city Baltimore. In addition to outpatient clinics, Jennifer’s work experience includes national speaking tours on Trauma-Informed Care, and Infant and Toddler Mental Health for Cross Country Education/Pesi, years in inner-city Baltimore Head Start programs, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Child Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic, Birth to Three Early Intervention program behavioral consultation, and University of Wisconsin Madison and Lakeland College guest lecturer. She additionally has experience in crisis counseling, pediatric residential treatment, working with children who have: Autism Spectrum Disorders and neurodiversity, developmental delays, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and complicated medical conditions, as well as helping families with managing chronic and persistent mental illness. Because Jennifer is passionate about supporting children, she regularly gives workshops and trainings to local schools (elementary and middle), daycare providers, early interventionists, and foster and adoptive communities, and parents and community members.

As an adoptive and foster parent herself, in addition to over 20 years in the field helping children and families with complicated behavioral and relationships, Jennifer is a tireless advocate who helps families discover how to grow and thrive. Her approach is holistic collaborative, and she coordinates care with the family, school/daycare, social work, and other team members to achieve the best possible outcomes for children.
