Katrina is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who provides individual therapy for adolescents, young adults, and adults. She received both her BA and MSEd from Western Illinois University and has been in practice since 2000. Katrina has extensive experience working with ADHD (adolescent and adults), supportive parenting work, adolescent related issues, adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, women’s issues, and stress management. Katrina approaches counseling with kindness, compassion, genuineness, and respect. She is an LGBTQ ally and has worked with many people from all walks of life, ethnicities, and spiritual beliefs. Katrina is an eclectic therapist who utilizes a person-centered and strength based approach. She uses a variety of techniques to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, parenting skills training (Love & Logic), and psychoeducation. Katrina works collaboratively with clients to build on personal strengths, improve coping strategies, assist them in achieving their personal goals, and helps people improve their overall quality of life.
