Elizabeth E Schmidt, MSW, LCSW,
About Elizabeth E Schmidt (She/Her)
Elizabeth Schmidt, LCSW, helps adults and older adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion, practical strategies, and a deep respect for each person’s unique experiences. Through individual therapy at LifeStance Health, she works with patients across Wisconsin who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, or other emotional and mental health concerns. Her approach emphasizes creating a supportive, judgment-free environment where clients can build resilience, gain insight, and move toward meaningful change. Drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Elizabeth tailors treatment to individual’s goals and needs. She also offers additional therapeutic approaches, including mindfulness-based and faith-based interventions when appropriate. Her clinical experience includes treating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, grief, and additional mental health conditions. Elizabeth believes that effective therapy is built on trust, collaboration, and genuine human connection. She strives to help clients feel heard and empowered while working toward improved emotional well-being and a greater sense of fulfillment in their daily lives. Outside of her practice, Elizabeth enjoys playing games, spending time with her husband, adult children, and her two beloved fur babies. She loves attending outdoor music events and staying actively involved with her church community.
