About Gwen Lyons (She/Her)

Helping patients throughout Colorado build healthier relationships, manage emotional challenges, and move toward meaningful personal growth, Gwen Lyons provides compassionate, evidence-based therapy for teens, adults, and seniors. At LifeStance Health, she creates a welcoming and affirming environment where clients can explore their concerns, strengthen coping skills, and develop practical strategies for lasting change. Her approach is collaborative, recognizing that each person brings unique experiences, strengths, and goals to the therapeutic process. Gwen works with individuals facing a variety of mental health concerns, with particular expertise in anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma. She understands how these challenges can affect daily life, relationships, and overall well-being, and she helps clients gain insight, build resilience, and develop healthier patterns of thinking and behavior. In addition to these specialties, she provides support for a range of other emotional and behavioral health needs. She is especially passionate about helping individuals navigating gender identity concerns and those seeking a safe, supportive space to better understand themselves. Gwen values authenticity and self-discovery, and she works alongside clients as they explore identity, relationships, personal values, and life transitions. Her inclusive and affirming approach helps clients feel respected, heard, and empowered throughout their mental health journey. Gwen also provides couples therapy, helping partners improve communication, deepen understanding, and work through challenges together. She utilizes evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while drawing from additional therapeutic modalities when appropriate. She has experience serving members of the LGBTQ+ community, first responders, and others seeking support during difficult life circumstances. Outside of her clinical work, Gwen enjoys spending time outdoors through camping, hiking, and paddle boarding. She is also passionate about crafting, costuming, and all things fantasy and whimsical. These interests reflect her appreciation for creativity, curiosity, and connection, qualities that also influence her therapeutic style. Gwen earned her education through SUNY New Paltz and Walden University. She is also able to support clients in French. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate at LifeStance Health, she is committed to providing high-quality mental health care for individuals and couples across Colorado.

Gwen Lyons provides services with supervision.
