About Leah Hasdan (She/Her)
Leah Hasdan, LSW, provides individual therapy for children, teens, and adults across Illinois. She creates a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore challenges, build coping skills, and work toward meaningful personal growth.
Leah is passionate about helping individuals navigate life transitions, existential crises, identity exploration, and self-development. She especially enjoys working with those in early adulthood as they navigate ADHD, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and major life changes. She also has experience supporting individuals through immigration and acculturation, helping clients balance cultural identities while adjusting to new environments.
Leah is passionate about helping clients navigate life transitions, identity development, existential concerns, and periods of uncertainty or change. She works with diverse populations, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, individuals on the autism spectrum, those involved in foster care or adoption, and individuals experiencing challenges related to immigration and acculturation. Her approach focuses on fostering resilience, self-understanding, and practical skills that support lasting emotional well-being.
She utilizes evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBO), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other therapeutic techniques tailored to each client’s unique needs. Leah is fluent in Russian and is committed to providing culturally responsive care. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, swimming, kayaking, dancing, reading, cooking, making art, and spending time with family and friends.
