About Lexi Bournas (She/Her)
Alexandra (Lexi) Bournas, LPC, helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults throughout Illinois navigate emotional challenges, build resilience, and develop practical skills for lasting mental wellness. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with LifeStance Health, she provides compassionate, individualized therapy tailored to each person’s unique experiences and goals. Lexi supports clients facing a wide range of concerns, with particular expertise in anxiety, depression, and ADHD, while also helping individuals manage many additional mental health and life challenges. Lexi is especially dedicated to helping clients strengthen coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and move forward from experiences that may be keeping them stuck. She works with children struggling in school, teens facing academic or social pressures, and adults navigating stress, transitions, and personal growth. Her approach emphasizes creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel empowered to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their lives. Drawing from evidence-based therapeutic approaches, Lexi incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop healthier thought patterns, manage difficult emotions, and align their actions with their values. In addition to her primary areas of focus, she provides support for concerns such as grief, PTSD/trauma, bipolar disorder, school avoidance, and other mental health needs. Lexi believes therapy should be a collaborative process that honors each client’s strengths while addressing the challenges they face. She is committed to helping individuals build confidence, increase self-awareness, and create sustainable strategies for improving their quality of life. She earned her education at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois. Outside of her clinical work, Lexi enjoys traveling, listening to music, attending concerts, hiking, walking, and spending time cooking and baking. These interests reflect her appreciation for connection, creativity, exploration, and balance.
Lexi Bournas provides services with supervision.
