Megan Gourd, LCSWA,
About Megan Gourd (She/Her)
Megan Gourd, LCSW-Associate, helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults navigate emotional and behavioral challenges with compassion, practical support, and evidence-based therapy. Serving patients across North Carolina through LifeStance Health, she creates a welcoming environment where individuals and families can build insight, strengthen coping skills, and work toward meaningful, lasting change. Her clinical approach is centered on collaboration and individualized care. Megan works with a wide range of mental health concerns, with particular experience treating anxiety, ADHD, and depression, while also supporting patients facing grief, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, school avoidance, childhood behavior issues, and life transitions. She provides both individual therapy and family therapy, helping patients identify strengths, overcome obstacles, and develop healthier patterns for daily living. Her therapeutic style draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while incorporating additional evidence-based interventions when appropriate. Megan is especially passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and teens who are struggling with ADHD, anxiety, and childhood behavioral challenges. She understands the unique pressures young people face at home, in school, and in social settings, and she partners closely with families to foster resilience, improve communication, and create practical strategies that support healthy development. Her work is focused on helping young patients gain confidence, develop emotional regulation skills, and thrive both academically and personally. She believes that effective therapy starts with trust, respect, and genuine connection. Megan works to ensure that every patient feels heard and understood, tailoring treatment plans to each person’s goals, experiences, and strengths. Her commitment to patient-centered care helps create a supportive therapeutic process where growth feels achievable and sustainable. Outside of her clinical work, Megan enjoys hiking, playing tennis, swimming, traveling, working out, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Megan Gourd provides services with supervision.
