Michelle Gonzales, LCSWA,
About Michelle Gonzales (She/Her)
Michelle Gonzales, LCSW-Associate, helps children, adolescents, teens, and adults build practical skills to navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful, lasting change. Serving patients across North Carolina through LifeStance Health, she provides compassionate individual therapy for concerns such as anxiety, ADHD, and depression while fostering a supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. Michelle works collaboratively with each person to identify strengths, overcome obstacles, and develop strategies that support emotional well-being at home, school, work, and in daily life. Michelle is especially passionate about helping individuals facing childhood behavior issues, school avoidance, and challenges related to attention, focus, and emotional regulation. She understands that struggles in these areas can affect confidence, relationships, academic performance, and overall quality of life. By creating personalized treatment plans, she helps clients and families better understand behavioral patterns, build resilience, and develop practical tools for success. She also supports individuals working through grief, trauma, and questions related to gender identity, while offering care tailored to each client’s unique experiences and goals. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based techniques. Michelle believes that therapy should be both supportive and actionable, helping clients gain insight while learning skills they can apply in everyday situations. In addition to her primary areas of focus, she has experience addressing a variety of other mental health concerns and treatment needs. Her approach balances clinical expertise with warmth, curiosity, and genuine respect for every client’s journey. Outside of her clinical work, Michelle enjoys crafting, creating art, playing video games, spending time outdoors, and watching documentaries.
Michelle Gonzales provides services with supervision.
