About Matthew Wenske (He/Him)
Matthew Wenske, LCMHC-Associate, helps teens, adults, and older adults navigate life’s challenges with practical, evidence-based therapy tailored to their goals and experiences. As a therapist with LifeStance Health, he provides individual therapy for patients across North Carolina, supporting those who are seeking relief from anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns while building healthier patterns for long-term emotional wellness. Matthew believes meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and collaboration. He works with patients facing a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also helping individuals manage ADHD, grief, sleep difficulties, substance use concerns, and other emotional or behavioral challenges. His approach is client-centered and focused on helping patients develop effective coping skills, strengthen resilience, and achieve measurable progress in their daily lives. A particular area of passion for Matthew is working with men who may feel pressure to handle challenges on their own. He understands that seeking support can be difficult and strives to create a judgment-free environment where men can openly discuss stress, emotional struggles, relationship concerns, life transitions, and mental health symptoms. He is also experienced in supporting first responders and military veterans, recognizing the unique demands and experiences these populations often face. Matthew incorporates proven therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and faith-based treatment when aligned with a patient’s preferences and values. He takes a personalized approach to care, understanding that each person’s story, strengths, and treatment goals are unique. He also offers support for additional mental health concerns beyond those highlighted above. Outside of his clinical work, Matthew enjoys spending time watching and playing sports, playing video games, reading, and watching movies.
Matthew Wenske provides services with supervision.
