Jiwoo Kim, LCSW-Associate, helps adults across North Carolina build practical skills to manage distress, strengthen resilience, and move toward a more meaningful life. As a provisionally licensed clinician at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for young adults, adults, and seniors, supporting clients through anxiety, depression, and PTSD with a compassionate, evidence-based approach tailored to each person’s goals. Her clinical work emphasizes clarity, collaboration, and measurable progress. Jiwoo integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies to help clients better understand patterns of thought and behavior, reduce symptoms, and improve daily functioning. She also has experience supporting individuals navigating complex life transitions, career stress, relationship challenges, and grief. Jiwoo serves diverse populations, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, military and veteran populations, and individuals with autism spectrum or developmental differences, while offering additional areas of support as needed. Jiwoo’s approach is grounded in respect for each client’s lived experience and cultural context. She incorporates trauma-informed care and, when helpful, creative and expressive techniques to deepen engagement and insight. Her work is especially attuned to those facing burnout, major life changes, or ongoing stress related to health, independence, or identity. Outside of her clinical work, Jiwoo enjoys art and design.
