If you are seeking support for yourself, your child, your relationship, or your family, Michelle Hernandez at LifeStance Health provides compassionate, collaborative therapy for children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults throughout New Jersey. She creates a welcoming space where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered to work through life’s challenges. Michelle helps individuals navigate concerns such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD while supporting emotional growth, resilience, and healthier relationships. She also works with clients facing a variety of additional mental health and life-transition concerns. Michelle believes that meaningful change happens when treatment is tailored to the unique needs of each individual and family. She has experience helping clients address childhood behavior concerns, grief, and PTSD/trauma, among other challenges. Whether working with a young child, a teen, an adult, or a family unit, she focuses on building trust and creating practical strategies that help clients achieve their goals both inside and outside of therapy. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based care and emphasizes collaboration, self-awareness, and skill development. Michelle utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and family therapy interventions to help clients understand unhelpful patterns, strengthen coping skills, and improve overall well-being. Through couples therapy and family therapy, she also helps strengthen communication, foster connection, and navigate relational challenges in a constructive and supportive manner. She offers additional therapeutic approaches to meet the diverse needs of her clients. Michelle is committed to providing care that respects each client’s experiences, values, and strengths. She believes that every person has the capacity for growth and healing and works alongside clients to help them identify meaningful paths forward. Her warm, person-centered style allows clients to explore challenges with confidence while developing tools to support long-term emotional wellness. She earned her education from New York University and New Jersey City University, building a strong foundation in counseling, human development, and relationship-focused care. Outside of her clinical work, Michelle enjoys spending time with loved ones, being outdoors, listening to music, exploring creative interests, and continuing to learn and grow both personally and professionally. These passions reflect her appreciation for connection, curiosity, and lifelong learning.
