At LifeStance Health, Fatemah Shabbir helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults throughout New Jersey navigate emotional challenges, strengthen relationships, and build healthier coping strategies. She provides compassionate, individualized therapy for clients facing anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also supporting a variety of other mental health and life-transition concerns. Her approach is grounded in the belief that meaningful change occurs when clients feel understood, empowered, and actively involved in their treatment journey. Fatemah works collaboratively with each client to create a treatment plan that reflects their unique experiences, values, and goals. She utilizes evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions to help clients develop greater emotional awareness, resilience, and confidence. In addition to individual therapy, she provides couples counseling to help partners improve communication, navigate conflict, and strengthen connection. She also offers support for additional concerns beyond her primary areas of focus. She has experience working with diverse populations, including individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, people with autism spectrum disorders, and those with developmental disabilities. Fatemah understands that every person’s story is different and strives to provide an affirming, inclusive environment where clients can explore challenges openly and safely while working toward meaningful growth and improved well-being. Fatemah is passionate about helping people manage the emotional impact of life transitions and personal challenges that can affect self-esteem, relationships, and daily functioning. Whether supporting a child experiencing behavioral concerns, a teen navigating identity and social stressors, or an adult facing significant life changes, she focuses on helping clients identify strengths, develop practical skills, and create lasting positive change. Outside of her clinical work, Fatemah enjoys spending time with her dog, Ellie, baking, reading, and watching football and baseball with friends and family. These interests help her stay connected to the importance of balance, relationships, and self-care. Fatemah earned her education from The Ohio State University and the University of Houston and has been practicing since 2022.

Fatemah Shabbir provides services with supervision.
