About Ms. D Young (She/Her)
Diana Young helps adults build practical skills for navigating life’s challenges while creating space for meaningful personal growth. As a provisionally licensed therapist at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for adults and older adults across Oregon. Diana works collaboratively with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns, offering a thoughtful, supportive approach that balances compassion with evidence-based care. She strives to help individuals strengthen resilience, deepen self-understanding, and move toward lives that feel more aligned with their values. Diana is especially passionate about supporting clients who are exploring eco-anxiety, the degrowth movement, and intersectional feminism. She understands how environmental concerns, social systems, identity, and personal wellbeing can intersect in complex ways. Her work creates a space where clients can process these experiences, examine their relationship with the world around them, and develop strategies for living with greater purpose and psychological flexibility. Her clinical approach draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based interventions. Diana also has experience helping individuals manage ADHD, grief, later-life and midlife transitions, gender identity concerns, insomnia, and the emotional impact of medical conditions. She serves a diverse client population, including LGBTQ+ individuals, military veterans, and first responders, while also offering support for additional mental health needs.
Diana earned her education through Portland State University and began practicing in 2023. She is committed to ongoing learning and strives to provide care that is both affirming and grounded in current therapeutic practices. Outside of her clinical work, Diana enjoys learning about plants native to the Pacific Northwest, spending time in her garden, exploring concepts related to degrowth, and taking her dog to her favorite place in the world—the Oregon coast.
