Brittany Popelka is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado who has been practicing since 2020. She has a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Northern Colorado. Brittany offers a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space for clients to share what they feel comfortable with sharing with her. She offers therapeutic interventions such as CBT, DBT, mindfulness, solution-focused, strengths-based, and arts and activities, all which is formulated uniquely per the client’s individual needs. Brittany believes that each client is an expert in their own life and supports the therapy process by helping clients gain clarity, direction, and healing within their lives. She utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy with her foundation being in Person-Centered Therapy and incorporating other approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused, Strengths-Based, and adding activities and art when it would be a benefit to the client. Because Brittany believes that everyone is unique and has individualized needs, she strives to tailor her counseling approach to each individual. Brittany typically works with clients who present with depression, anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, trauma, substance use, relationship issues, and personality disorders and also has experience working with diverse populations, LGBTQ+, couples, families, adults, and children. She does a combination of remote and in-person sessions. Brittany is passionate about helping and supporting others, mental health, and has gratitude for being allowed the privilege to be a part of each client’s journey. Outside of work, Brittany enjoys spending time with her family, dogs, exercising, hiking, camping, fishing, and traveling in Colorado and outside of Colorado.
