About Cynthia Edwards (She/Her)

Dr. Cynthia Edwards earned her degrees from Immaculata University in Malvern, Pennsylvania: a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health in the states of Delaware and Maryland, a Nationally Certified Counselor by NBCC (National Board of Certified Counselors) and is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) by EMDRIA (EMDR International Association). Dr. Cynthia Edwards worked for many years as a registered nurse in critical care and emergency room hospital units. Dr. Cynthia Edwards provides psychodynamically-oriented integrative therapy to individuals (adults) with anxiety disorders, including panic, acute and post-traumatic stress; depression and other mood disorders, including bipolar disorder; serious mental health problems including self-injury, suicidal thoughts/attempts, hospitalizations; acute/chronic medical illnesses and women’s issues including relationships, life transitions, work/career concerns and separation/divorce.
