Donovan Maisel is a licensed clinical psychologist (Psy.D.) practicing individual therapy and conducting psychological testing in Annapolis, Maryland. Donovan graduated with a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington, D.C. in 2021. Prior to that he received a M.A. in Experimental Psychology from Washington College in 2011, a Post-Masters Certificate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins in 2012, and a M.A. in Clinical Psychology from The American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Washington, D.C. in 2018. His undergraduate degree was from Salisbury University. Donovan works with most clinical disorders including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorders, trauma, substance use disorders, dissociative disorders, and issues related to identity or changing life circumstances. In addition, Donovan specializes in treating personality disorders, having been trained in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), schema therapy, transference-focused psychotherapy, self-psychology and supportive therapy. As a clinical psychologist, Donovan believes in proving evidence-based treatment and works collaboratively with clients to develop appropriate treatment plans. He prefers an integrative approach, drawing from cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy and DBT when clinically indicated. Donovan also conducts psychological assessments with adolescents and adults.
