Maria Ostermann has a decade’s worth of experience in the fields of clinical counseling, psychotherapy, and social work. She specializes primarily in working with adolescents, establishing therapeutic goals with an acute sense of family interaction and medical well-being. In addition, she has also worked with providing counseling services on an individual level as well as in family therapy and group sessions. It is her mission to provide the most open communication between provider and patient and family when evaluating a client from different angles and psychoanalysis. Maria is also experienced with senior citizens, young children, breast cancer patients, and those who are struggling with domestic violence, sexual trauma, and substance abuse. Her goal is to provide the utmost care and professionalism in any and every situation while also counseling clients on their steps forward to maintain or start on the path to a healthy and happy lifestyle. Maria obtained her undergraduate degree in psychology at Siena College in 2014. She went on to receive her master’s degree in Social Work from Adelphi University in May 2018 and became a Licensed Master of Social Work in October of that year. She is also a certified school social worker, having obtained that license in September of 2019.
