Rick Loonam helps patients across Colorado gain stability, clarity, and renewed confidence through expert psychiatric medication management and compassionate, individualized care. As a prescriber with LifeStance Health, he partners with teens and adults to evaluate symptoms, clarify diagnoses, and develop effective treatment plans for conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. Serving communities throughout CO, Rick provides thoughtful, evidence-based care designed to support long-term mental wellness and improved daily functioning. Rick is particularly experienced in treating ADHD, anxiety disorders, and alcohol and drug use issues. He understands how these conditions can disrupt academic performance, career progress, relationships, and overall quality of life. With a strong clinical foundation in psychiatric medication management and substance abuse medication management, he carefully monitors treatment response and makes adjustments that align with each patient’s goals. When appropriate, he incorporates mindfulness-based strategies to strengthen focus, reduce stress, and enhance emotional regulation. He treats teens (15–17), young adults, and adults through age 64. He also has experience supporting first responders, military service members and veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those impacted by adoption or foster care. Rick recognizes the unique stressors these communities may face and provides respectful, culturally responsive mental health treatment tailored to their needs. In addition to his primary areas of expertise, he has experience addressing trauma, OCD, sleep disorders, psychosis, and life transitions. Rick earned his education at Regis University and has been practicing since 2023. Outside of his clinical work, he enjoys skiing, golfing, and camping; activities that reflect his appreciation for balance and resilience.
