About Courtney Fisher (She/Her)

Courtney Fisher, PMHNP, helps teens, adults, and older adults throughout Illinois find greater stability, clarity, and confidence in managing their mental health through personalized psychiatric medication management. As a prescriber at LifeStance Health, she partners closely with patients to understand their goals, symptoms, and life experiences, creating treatment plans that support long-term wellness. Courtney works with individuals experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, and a variety of additional mental health conditions, providing thoughtful, evidence-based care tailored to each person’s needs. A particular area of passion for Courtney is supporting individuals who have recently been discharged from a psychiatric hospital and those navigating Workers Compensation-related mental health concerns. She recognizes that these situations can be overwhelming and often require coordinated, compassionate care during times of significant transition. Her approach emphasizes continuity of treatment, careful medication monitoring, and helping patients build a strong foundation for recovery and ongoing stability. Courtney also has experience caring for patients facing complex mental health challenges, including trauma-related concerns and gender identity-related issues. She is dedicated to creating an affirming and respectful environment where patients feel heard and understood. In addition to her core areas of expertise, she provides support for a broad range of psychiatric conditions and mental health needs. She has experience working with members of the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, first responders, individuals with autism spectrum disorders, and those involved in adoption or foster care systems. Her treatment style is collaborative and patient-centered. Courtney believes that effective psychiatric care begins with understanding the whole person, not just their symptoms. She works to help patients better understand their mental health, make informed decisions about treatment, and develop a path forward that aligns with their personal goals and values. Courtney began practicing in 2025 and earned her education from Elmhurst University, Chamberlain University, and Northern Illinois University. Her diverse training supports a comprehensive approach to psychiatric assessment and medication management. Outside of work, Courtney enjoys spending time with her family and reading whenever she has the opportunity. These moments help her maintain balance and bring a sense of perspective and connection to her professional role.
