Amy Torres helps teens and adults across Kansas gain clarity, stability, and renewed confidence through thoughtful, evidence-based medication management at LifeStance Health. Serving individuals ages 15 through 64, she partners with patients to address conditions such as ADHD, anxiety disorders, and depression with a personalized, collaborative approach. Amy understands that starting psychiatric care can feel overwhelming, and she works to create a supportive, respectful environment where patients feel heard and empowered in their mental health journey.

Amy is especially passionate about treating trauma and PTSD, cultural injustice, and co-occurring anxiety and depression. She recognizes how unresolved trauma and systemic stressors can affect mood, focus, sleep, and relationships. Using trauma-informed care and mindfulness-based strategies, she integrates clinical expertise with compassionate listening to help patients move toward emotional regulation and long-term resilience. Her approach to psychiatric medication management is holistic and individualized, ensuring that each treatment plan reflects the patient’s lived experience and goals.

Her clinical work frequently includes support for ADHD, bipolar disorder, and sleep disorders/insomnia. In addition to medication management, she incorporates mindfulness and faith-based treatment when aligned with a patient’s values. Amy has experience serving diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals, military members and veterans, and those involved in adoption or foster care systems. She also offers care for additional mental health conditions and life transitions beyond those listed.

With over 15 years of healthcare experience spanning behavioral health, chronic disease management, and integrated care, Amy brings a well-rounded and collaborative perspective to psychiatric treatment. She began practicing as a prescriber in 2025 and is committed to expanding access to high-quality mental health services throughout Kansas.

Outside of her clinical work, Amy finds renewal in nature and time outdoors. She enjoys traveling, photography, chasing waterfalls, and spending time with animals—activities that reflect her belief in balance and overall well-being.
