Judith Casarella is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She received her MSN from the University of Massachusetts and her Certificate of Advanced Studies from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Family Nurse Practitioner. Judith has had a wide range of experience in Adult and Adolescent nursing and primary care before shifting her focus to Mental Health. She provides diagnostic assessment, holistic care planning and psychiatric medication evaluation and management. She integrates Cognitive behavioral approaches, mindfulness, and psychodynamic approaches into her care, in addition to nutrition and exercise. Judith brings her background in nursing and primary care to her work in mental health, understanding that humans thrive when they feel resilient and strong in mind, heart and body. She works with clients to understand their unique needs and strengths. The goal is to develop a collaborative treatment plan that will assist the client in restoring their mental health, overall wellbeing and improve resiliency. Judy has a special interest in adolescents, children, and women’s mental health. She has experience working with clients of all ages. She treats depression, anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, Autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and others.
